Amazing Grace was the perfect home for our group of 8 friends. It matched and exceed the description. Everything was sparkling clean and perfectly maintained when we arrived, and the list of amenities we loved is long: the layout, spacious rooms, plenty of closet/drawer space in bedrooms, super comfortable, high quality mattresses/bedding (as an all adult group we especially appreciated the queen size bunks), the many hooks in the bathrooms for hanging all the things, a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of dinnerware, flatware, serving dishes, lots of pantry storage, seating for all 8 of us in the living room!, the bonus room on the ground floor with the its convenience to the pool area, the large pool and deck with enough chairs for the amount of guests the home accommodates, gulf views, and the NEMA 14-50 charging outlet for our EVs! The proximity to the 6th St. beach access was easy as was proximity to the center of the island. We so appreciated the thoughtfulness put into to so many details. This was our eighth annual trip and our favorite home so far. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We highly recommend! A couple small suggestions that we think would make it even better: addition of a mirror in the rooms that share a bathroom and a throw blanket for each bedroom.

Beaitful, well equipped home. Newer build so not worn out, tired beach place. Decorated very pretty and nice, new pool!the road was kinda busy that it’s on. Also listing states4 bed room4 bath but the 4th bath is downstairs in a game room. It was very nice but not with th4 bedrooms so that was unusual. That may have been something I overlooked when booking. Overall great home that’s not worn out like some others!

This rental did not disappoint. It was perfect for our party of 10. There was plenty of space for everybody, the kitchen was well stocked, and all the furniture was very comfortable. I look forward to returning to this rental home again soon.

Plenty of space for our group of 8. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. Easy golf cart ride to the beach and into town. Loved hanging by the pool after long beach days. Plenty of space for our boat and golf cart trailers.

The “Amazing Grace” home was so beautiful and sparkling clean. Every bed in the home was so comfortable. Every room was perfectly decorated. The kitchen ware was really nice and plentiful. The location of the house was excellent. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room. I absolutely love the lay out of this home. I only have 1 complaint. Since we were a family of 8 and we stayed 7 nights, the garbage can outside took no time at all to get overfilled. However I called Forgotten Shores and Melody sent someone over to grab the bags that could not fit in the can. Melody has a wonderful attitude and is so helpful. It was our first time visiting Saint George Island and I am so happy that I found a forever destination for our family. I won’t look for a different home to stay in when we go back to Saint George Island. I will choose Amazing Grace every time cause the whole family was so pleased! Thank you Forgotten Shores!

This house was perfectly positioned on the island, close to everything but not too close. It was right across from the bike path, short ride or walk to all restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. The house has a great floor plan and two master suites. It was very inviting, comfortable, clean and upscale. The porch is great for morning coffee and sunsets, the downstairs game room was awesome for our kids. The pool is large and pleasant, very enjoyable. The area under the house is a massive concrete pad for parking (high ceilings) and we had 7 rental bikes along with two cars, still plenty of room. That area is a great space for a beach house. Store all beach items below, privately and secure, outdoor shower helps to keep the beach outside and not in the pool or house. We really enjoyed our time at this house and will definitely be returning. We have stayed at VRBO's all over the world and this one is exceptionally done and was seamlessly comfortable, clean and a home away from home.

This place was perfect in every way ! Open floor plan, king beds, huge showers and a large kitchen than easily accommodated our party of eight ! Covered parking and the pool was awesome! Very convenient and walking distance to everything ! It still smells new !

This home is even better than the description. Everything in it is first class. The house was in excellent condition and the cleanliness was pristine. With an 11 month on baby, we are always concerned about the cleanliness of the floor he crawls around on, but we had absolutely no hesitation with him crawling around at Breakaway. We also had an almost 4-year-old and this house had everything thing we needed for his dining needs with toddler cups, plates, bowls, and flatware. The dishes for the adults were plentiful and beautiful.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, even the bunks! The house is spacious with plenty of room where we never felt crowded or in the way of others. The den furniture is comfortable and there was plenty of seating for all of us.
We cooked most meals in and no matter what we needed, we found it in this well stocked kitchen. From cutting boards, quality knives, to the right pot/pan for the item we were cooking. The was more than enough pantry space which we have never found in a rental before.
Even the furniture on the balcony and pool area is of high quality and very comfortable. We enjoyed the additional space by the pool and the full bath by the pool was a huge benefit.
I cannot say enough about the staff at Forgotten Shores. We had one minor issue upon arrival, and I immediately sent them an email and the issue was resolved within a couple of hours. They followed up the next day to make sure we were satisfied with the resolution and to make sure all was well. You certainly can’t ask for more than that.
We will absolutely return to Breakaway and recommend Forgotten Shores to anyone traveling to SGI.

We have been coming to SGI for half a decade and this is one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in. Everything is beautiful and up to date. The pool was wonderful and the beach is just a few steps away. Highly recommend!

We were very pleased with out Forgotten shores experience .We were the first guests in a brand new house and everything was there that we would need for our stay .The staff was very kind and helpful when we needed it. The location is perfect. Close to the beach and close to town.

The house has a great view, a quick walk to the beach, and plenty of space . We enjoyed the pool. I hate to write negative reviews, but this house could have been so much better. It definitely could use some minor updating and better maintenance. We knew it was an older home, but it doesn't appear that many updates have been done since it was built. What noticeable maintenance had been done appeared to be temporary fixes instead of long-term solutions. For example, the decking on the stairs, they replaced the top boards, but the foundation wood to the stairs was not replaced, leaving the top boards bowed and some loose. There was an extension cord to the pool lights that you had to plug in to have lights at the pool. The lighting on the spiral staircase inside the home did not work, so we had to leave the lamp on all the time so we could see to use them. Also It really could use a deep cleaning. I know there is not a lot of time between turnovers but time should be made to do some deep cleaning during slower times. There were lots of upholstery stains on the furniture. One couch was so bad that no one in my group wanted to sit on it. The floors and especially the grout needs a deep cleaning. There were other things also but those are the main things.
Forgotten shores did give us another night to make up for it, which was really nice of them. It was not offered until our last full day so it made it difficult to change some of our schedules. Only part of our group stayed longer on Saturday but did not stay the extra night.

We had a great stay at Changes in Attitude. The location was great especially for the price. Walk to the beach was easy, loved that the boardwalk access was ramped with no steps making pulling carts no problem. Vacant lot across the street allowed for a good view of the ocean. Rooms were spacious enough, nice pool and hot tub, loved the large kitchen and living space. We had two families staying in the house and it worked out great. Property does have LOTS of steps and they cannot be avoided due to the layout so it's not for those with knee problems and hip problems but for the able bodied you'll get your steps in.

Everything was as described. Lots of room foe everyone!!

The home is comfortable, packed full of character, with plenty of space for a crowd to gather. The views and location are great, with only a few minute walk to the beach.

Not too far from the beach, close enough to walk, but far enough that you’re tired lol. Enjoyed the golf cart even though you couldn’t drive it on the main roads. The water softener was broken while we were there, so the water tasted like sulfur. There was more than plenty of beach chairs and activities in the storage room under the house. My only real complaint is that the house is basically one room just separated by thin drywall. You can hear EVERYTHING from room to room. The deck was peeling, and the woods looks to be very old.

Great vacation house. Access to the beach was easy. House had all the little extras that make a vacation special. Perfect for me and my daughter's Spring Break.

We love the little beach house. Everything was so clean. I loved that there was hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom. It was so convenient to get the golf cart with the house. It saved us bringing our own. We definitely recommend the charming house.

One of the few properties where the photos lived up to the hype. The house was cute and well-maintained! It was super clean and had plenty of room for the 2 of us. It had lots of sleeping space—8 could find a spot to crash, but it might be a little tight with only one bathroom. The outdoor space was nice as well! House was private and quiet, the golf cart made it very easy to tote all of our fishing gear to the beach and was very convenient for running into town. Amenities were as expected and even above and beyond with the amount of beach gear stored away. We really enjoyed our stay here! We ended up adopting a dog from the local shelter and were sad that we couldn’t bring her with us right away due to the no pets policy, but that was clearly stated in advance and certainly isn’t a knock on the property. Overall, it was a relaxing stay in a well-furnished home! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Beach Joy!

My family of three spent a relaxing week at the beach at this wonderful little house. The house was great for a family of our size. The house was very clean, very well kept and equipped with everything we needed for cooking or a day at the beach. The beds were really comfortable and we enjoyed the deck with Adirondack chairs. There is a sandy alleyway way just across the street that goes all the way to the beach, making getting to the beach just a few minutes walk. This is in not to take away from the quality of the house, but just something to be aware of: there is only a 3seat sofa and a day bed in the living room. I found myself wishing there were a chair or 2 to sit in, instead of the 3 of us sitting side by side on the sofa to watch tv in the evenings. All of that said, I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent rental, perfect for my wife + I, but would have been great as well back when our kids were very young. Very well kept, nice improvements, clean. Zero complaints at all, would happily stay again.

Forgotten Shores Properties has been our go to connection on St George Island for a while now and they are awesome. This was our second stay in BEACH JOY this year and was most enjoyable again. It fits our needs as it is very clean, is only a short walk to the beach, quiet, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and TV and Wi-Fi. The golf cart, bicycles, and beach gear are also a good addition. Do pay attention to the property description as it has just one bathroom. We spent all of our 6 days on the island walking the beach, riding bikes, and enjoying early mornings and late afternoons relaxing by the ocean. The BLUE PARROT at lunchtime a few days was our version of an excursion.

Beach Joy was a really nice surprise for us as our original booking was undergoing construction issues. Thankfully we had the option to change locations. The property was very clean and well maintained and Forgotten Shores was wonderful. They are our go to agency on the island. The location was most convenient for us as we enjoy beach walks and quiet .
The access path to the beach is just across the street and is a very short walk to the beach. There is a golf cart for use and there are nice public access walkways with parking close by. The only caveat is there is just one bathroom which was fine for the two of us but might be an issue for larger groups. In warm weather there is an enclosed outdoor shower. We were there for 12 nights and utilized the well equipped kitchen for most meals. We do enjoy BLUE PARROT and BJ’s Pizza when venturing out to dine. We would recommend this unit to anyone desiring clean, budget friendly, and well equipped lodging with close access to the beach. It fit us well and will definitely book there again .

Really enjoyed our time here. A little over a block away from the beach. Perfect size for just our family (2 adults, 3 kids). Any more would have needed a bigger space. Deck was nice to relax on in the evenings and the kids loved running in the yard. All in all a great trip and a nice stay!

Shower!!! Invest in better spray head. Couldn’t hardly get the shampoo out of my hair. Perhaps one of those bow style curtain rods to give a little more space while standing in tub. Get rid of the plastic shower curtain. And the rubber tub mat was aweful. Otherwise EVERYTHING was great!!!

*And the fire alarm at kitchen was beeping so we replaced the battery twice. otherwise All good.
*and it would be nice to have suitcase holder *. While we are short term 1-2 week renter, we live out of our suitcases, prefer not transfer to dresser drawers.

We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Joy, it was cold but we enjoyed the fire ring in the back yard , used it 3 times. The people were very friendly and will return.

Nice and clean. Our second time staying at this particular location. Check in and checkout times could be changed for those traveling longer distance. SGI is a beautiful place to visit.

Great little cottage for the family to stay. Easy walk to the beach, quiet and clean. When we had an issue the staff were extremely quick to respond and remedy, and friendly as well. Will recommend.

We had a great stay at Beach Joy. Loved the location and the house had everything we needed. Very clean with all necessary accommodations. Outdoor shower was nice to have after a day of sun and sand. Short walk to beach was great.

Little Kokomo was the perfect spot to spend a week with our son and his family. We had an awesome time on the beautiful beach and in the pool!! So happy we opted to spend the extra cash to have the pool heated - we all enjoyed it!! The property managers were great, responding immediately to our needs. The property was clean and very comfortable with GREAT mattresses and the kids loved the bunk beds. St. George Island is a great spot to relax and take a break from our busy lives!!

Cons:
- right by the street = road noise and headlights shining in the front two bedrooms at night. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper
- high cost to heat the pool
- the game room is great, but is downstairs and separated from the rest of the house, so we didn’t use it as much as we thought we might
- no beach items provided other than towels
- view of the ocean is obstructed by power lines

We enjoyed staying at Little Kokomo! It was a very comfortable and well-maintained home. Its location to the beach and the town were an added bonus for us. This was our fourth home on the island that we have rented and is by far our favorite.

Everything about this rental was absolutely perfect. The location, the house was clean, well stocked(except for a wine bottle opener which we bought and left ) and complete with dish soap, laundry detergent, and beach towels! I was a little worried about the pool being in front of the street, but it sits a little higher than the road and there were shrubs planted around the fence so it gave more privacy. We loved our stay here! Will definitely rent this house again! I only took off one star for bed comfort, but I honestly don’t expect nice mattresses in any rental.
