Welcome to Forcynthia, a hidden gem along the coast of the Apalachicola Bay! This stunning custom 4BR/4.5BA home offers Bay vistas from every room with panoramic views from the top floor deck.
Privately nestled at the end of Forsythia Trail on a 2-acre peninsular point, “For-Cynthia” is the epitome of elegant coastal living. With no neighboring homes, this secluded estate offers quality accommodations with modern luxuries.
The main floor opens into the living space with heart pine floors, vaulted ceiling and open beam structure. The gourmet kitchen boasts marble counter tops, stainless farmhouse sink and appliances, 5-burner gas range, wine cooler and separate ice maker. The comfortably furnished living room offers a gas fireplace, large flat screen TV with DVD player and telescope for ultimate star gazing.
The first of 3 master suites is a NW bedroom with King bed and access to the bayfront sundeck and screened patio. The adjoining master bathroom boasts a large, tiled marble shower, soaking tub, 2 sinks with a vanity and a walk-in closet.
The second of the 3 master suites is the SW bedroom with King bed and private bathroom with marble shower. The laundry closet with full size stacked washer/dryer and half bath separate these two bedrooms from the third master suite with King bed and private bathroom with marble shower.
The top floor bedroom or office has a day bed with trundle (2 singles), a private bathroom with shower and a writing desk facing the sunset. Doors open onto a covered deck and a sprawling sundeck furnished with loungers and dining table.
Underneath the home you will find covered parking for 2-4 vehicles and convenient covered entry. Beyond the carport is the entrance onto your private dock with kayak launch into a channel that leads toward the Bay. Please note, the boat lift is not available for use.
Outdoor entertaining spaces include a seating area with porch swing and gas grill underneath the home, a furnished and screened patio area on the main floor and the expansive top floor viewing deck. A convenient elevator travels from the ground level to all floors.
As guests staying inside the St. George Plantation community, you can enjoy miles of bike paths, walking trails, access to fishing at Bob Sike’s Cut and being minutes from the serene Gulf beach. Amenities include the Plantation Clubhouse with Olympic style community pool, fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts. A second community pool is available at Resort Village and a scenic 11 minute walk from 'Forcynthia' will take you to the nearest community beach boardwalk or you may choose to park at the Plantation Clubhouse and walk across the street to the Gulf.

We had beach days both in the plantation and at the state park and enjoyed bike riding throughout the island. Pizza takeout from BJ’s the first night and a lunch meal at the Blue Parrot were our only restaurant ventures. This property has awesome views with opportunities for wildlife viewing.

This home was the perfect setting for our family gathering. The Plantation is an outstanding community in a natural setting providing a relaxing atmosphere with nature trails and beach access. It was the off season so very peaceful and quiet. The house had everything we needed for cooking and entertaining! We ordered bikes with our gear credit. Overall our stay was great! The views are stunning as well as the house; very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We loved the location out on a very quiet point of the salt marsh. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks out in the marshes and my husband caught two red fish right at the mouth of our canal. There were a few minor issues with the refrigerator and beverage fridge but the property manager was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting it again!

This is a wonderful house we could not have imagined anything better. The house was immaculate and looked brand shiny new, the bedrooms were large and light came pouring in from all directions. The main living area is stunning, spacious with views of the sun rise and sunset. the decor and furnishing were elegant and of the highest quality. The upper deck held 270 degrees of amazing bay views and again spectacular sunsets every night and sunrises each morning. the white sand beach is just a short walk and the clubhouse pool was perfect. We throughly enjoyed every second of our stay and have already booked our next stay. Although the house was not lacking anything the property manager Jamie was always available if we needed anything
We've been coming to SGI for over 30 years. This house by far was our favorite. This was our first experience renting through Forgotten Shores Properties and we were extremely please with their customer service and attention to detail. Will most definitely rent again.
