Very roomy, well equipped kitchen, very important to us. Excellent beach access. We experienced a local power outage and Jamie at the office kept us apprised of when to expect power return, very kind!

The property was perfect for our getaway. The location is right across from the beach access which was super convenient. The house has pretty much everything you could want for a vacation. Things that weren't listed but are included were a very nice ninja blender, curling iron, blow dryer, alarm clocks, and several beach chairs and toys for kids. The property management company was exceptional to work with! They took care of every question and need and were super friendly and personal the entire time The view from the deck is perfect. There are plenty of options inside the home with towels, pillows, beds of various firmness which made it comfortable and cozy. We will definitely look at this property and/or others that are managed by forgotten shores in the future!

This is our 2nd year coming to SGI for vacation and the second year using Forgotten Shores Properties to rent. We had another great experience! The house was perfect, well cleaned, and stocked with supplies. The location is perfect with easy, short access to the beach. We had a great week and we will be back!

Had the best time at Sol Mate! Our first trip to St George Island and we had the best time! Booking, staying with Forgotten Shores was flawless! House was clean and beds were amazing! We will be back for sure! Stayed in many rentals and this was exceeded my expectation! The location is perfect and the views are stuff that dreams are made of!

Multi-family stayed comfortably at Sol Mate. The house was clean and well stocked. The kids loved the pool and family area is spacious. It is walking distance to beach, restaurants and stores.

We enjoyed our time at Sol Mate! We had a large family of 10, including 7 adults and 3 children, and this property was the perfect size to fit everyone! We never felt crowded at all! We decided to pay the extra fee to have the pool heated and it was nice to be able to enjoy it during the cooler evenings. The location made it easy to access the public beach and Blue Parrot was just a short walk away. We will definitely be back for another visit!

This house was absolutely perfect for our week long stay at St. George! We had a large group (3 families, 12 people) and we had more than enough space and everything we needed. Our group had 6 children and they had a blast. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised with the beach toys, chairs, etc. that the house had. The pool was the perfect size for our kids and a nice break for the kids from the sand. The location of this house was also great! Super short walk to the beach and even though it isn’t beach front, you still have a nice view of the beach. We had a great week and will definitely be staying again!

The location was absolutely perfect. We were easily able to walk to the downtown restaurants, stores, and the lighthouse. Even though it was a central location, it was very peaceful and quiet and without much traffic. The beach path is just across the street which made it very convenient for everyone to come and go at their leisure. The house has very large windows on both ends, providing incredible views of the ocean from the front and of the rest of the island from the back side. The house was very spacious, and we appreciated having a separate bathroom for each bedroom. The bedrooms have very large windows with blinds and thick curtains. The kitchen was stocked adequately, however if you plan to do a lot of cooking, consider bringing your own specialty items (griddle, juicer, food processor etc.). The kitchen island is very big, so we had lots of prepping and serving space. There is plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen area. The small fridge in the coffee/bar area was extremely useful and it was very convenient to be able to set up a drink station in a separate area. The porch has plenty of seating space, a dining table and a very nice, large hammock. The pool area was nice and clean, and the pool was very well maintained, however it was rather small, especially for the size of the house and property. There is plenty of parking space and a large grassy area, where we were able to play volleyball. The downstairs bathroom was incredibly convenient and full of beach toys for us to use. The grill worked fine; however it is very small for a house that can house 12 people, and it could use replacing. The washer and dryer were a good size, and clean. A laundry basket would be a nice touch, since it is located in the basement.
We had no maintenance issues during our stay. The only negative thing was that our trash cans were totally full when we arrived. Apparently, departure day is trash day, therefore, the cleaning crew should be in charge of putting out the

We have a large family and love spending a week every 2 years at St George Island. In the past each family has stayed in condos at The Villas but this year we included the Sol Mates house in our stay for 2 families. The kids were safe to roam around together and share time at the beach and condo pools. The house was a great addition where we shared and hosted a couple of meals and game nights. Such a blessing for our family to come together from all over the US.and enjoy time together.

Great location with plenty of parking. We love the layout of the house & it's right across from a public beach access. The little kids love the pool. The deck is the perfect place to watch the ocean, read a good book or just take a little nap.

We've been coming to this little slice of paradise for 23 years. In those years, this home is the only one we have had the chance to repeat. It is wonderful! It has everything we need to keep 7 people happy. (No easy feat) The management company even checked on us mid week, little instances like this go a long way with us. Very kind people.

Rented the property for our kids and grandkids to join us on SGI from Vermont for their February Break, (we live close by). I have a mixed review. Location was a 10. right across from Beach walkover and with a nice view for not being beachfront. close to everything that the Island has to offer so kids could walk to lighthouse, playground, donut shop, ice cream etc. House was spacious with plenty of room for 6 comfortably.beds were comfortable.
However, house could definitely use some attention..cracked countertop, peeling cabinet paint, older electric stove in kitchen. decking and steps in need of repair. clearly not updated in quite a while, if those things matter to you.
We chose this property because of the amenities we desired,,IE: heatable pool, ice maker for drinks, gas grill for cooking out. all things that make for a great beach vacay.
Ice maker was broken, gas grill had no propane tank, pool heater was broken (we had paid $400 for heat)
the rental company was responsive, offered bagged ice (we had already purchased it), offered to bring a propane tank after our one dinner with guests was embarassingly cooked in fry pans on the electric stove when we discovered no steaks were going to be cooked on the grill!!! (but we really didn't need it after that. Pool heater fan broken and unable to be fixed during our weeks stay. Yes, they refunded our pool heat charge, but that did not fix the disappointment of our grandchildren and kids who had looked forward to it, especially since we had red flag days and cool cloudy days where we would certainly have enjoyed it.
Overall we still had fun because we tried to overlook the issues, but I would recommend that the management company hire inspectors who might have discovered these issues prior to our booking rather than after we arrived and reported them ourselves.
If you are ok with things not being brand new and drill down on the amenities being available, the location & porch view were great.

The house is in a Great location within walking distance of everything you want or need on the Island. This house was very clean compared to others we have rented in the past. It has plenty of parking for multiple cars.

We had a good week on SGI, but we had a lot of rain. The home provided room indoors for the family to play games, watch TV, etc... the 4 bedroom and 4 baths was perfect. The teenagers had their own space, big plus for our group of 8. The front porch and seating is the best part of this home, and ease to beach. The pool is nice too... we have visited SGI has a large family group for 17 yrs. This is one of our top picks and would definitely rent again. Kitchen could be better stocked with pots/cutting boards/etc

Loved the covered porch. Nice open plan. Boardwalk is very close to the house, we used that and not the path in pictures. The pictures are a little dated as there is not a vacant lot across the street but a fully completed rental home however, you still have a view of the water. With a toddler, it was nice to have 1 level inside. The location is within walking distance to everything. I would bring your own blender if that is something you need. Very clean!!

We loved this property and have loved all the properties we’ve stayed at with the Forgotten shores company. This property was even better in person! There was a great view to the ocean even with the new build and it was super close to the beach. The house was very clean and had a large split floor plan. 2 bedrooms on either side of the house. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the second time renting this house this summer. After the first week back in June I informed the manager that both exterior doors from the two south bedrooms would not latch or lock. After arriving at the end of July for my second week I found that both doors STILL would not latch or lock.
Some other issues that I reported that were minor were STILL not repaired either.
The toilet paper holder in the NW bathroom has yet to be replaced, the shower drain in the SE bathroom is still very slow and backs up while the shower is running.
I believe that after five weeks between my two trips all of these issues should have been repaired.

We had the BEST vacation ever! The house is beautiful. Everyone had plenty of room. We all love the front porch and the view of the ocean. It was also a very short walk to the beach. We all enjoyed staying here very much! Thank you! The location is great and the driveway and carport were very roomy. The pool was great!

Our family has been coming to SGI for years and we really enjoyed staying at Sol Mate. We usually choose to stay on the East End, so it was nice to be closer to the center of the island. There were 11 of us, and there was enough space for everyone (my son didn't mind sleeping on the fold out sofa bed). Getting to the beach was quick and easy. The pool was great for the younger kids. My only comment is that there weren't enough dish towels and the kitchen counter tops were cracked. I think 2 dishtowels for 11 people staying a week is insufficient not to mention really gross. Nevertheless, we would probably stay here again- it was super convenient.

This was the perfect house for us! We have come to SGI many times and we all said this was the best house/trip we have taken! My husband and I got married the week we were here and the house fit all of our needs as well as our families who came. Sol Mate will forever be my favorite house on SGI♥️

We had a great stay. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location was great. Walking distance to restaurants, stores, and sights. Home does show some wear (kitchen countertops cracked), but overall very comfortable. Pool was great and the option of having it heated was great. Hope to return in the future for another incredible stay!

The rental process was very easy, and we have stayed at Sol Mate many many times. It provides our family with the perfect location as we like to park the car and walk everywhere for the entire week. We did notice some aging and wear/tear that maybe hadn't been kept up in comparison to years past, but still a wonderful place for us. We will be back!

We had the best time at SolMate. The house was very roomie and accommodated our big family. I loved that I could sit on the porch & drink my coffee while being able to see & hear the kids in the pool at 7am !! The items that we got with our voucher enhanced our trip!! It was the greatest !! I want to be able to go back every year!!

My friends and and I were on a all woman's trip. It was so much fun and the home was beautiful. There were a few flaws upon arrival but we called and they came out and took care of everything right away. Very nice people. Definitely would stay there again.

3rd year in a row to stay here. Beach is very close and access to beach is steps away. Outside shower is very handy for rinsing off and the laundry room on ground level also has a bathroom which prevents having to go into house while using the pool. 3 kings and one room with 2 bunks. Big deck with plenty of seating to enjoy coffee in the morning or drinks at night while watching beach waves.

Sol Mate has become a tradition for our extended family coming from several states. We love the short walk to the beach and the pool in front of the house! This way we can see the ocean and still watch the kids swim. It’s roomy and clean and has everything we need. Added bonus - mini-split a/c in the two master rooms. We will keep on returning year after year.

We have rented this house several times for the Fourth of July week. We love this house for many reasons and will rent it again. I would say it needs more pots and pans... The ones that are there now are pretty terrible.But that is the worst thing I could say.

Air conditioning in room with bunk beds was totally inadequate. Exterior of the house was poorly maintained. Location in great. This house needs some work.

I would highly recommend Sol Mate. We have been coming to the island for over 40 years. This was our first time in this home but definitely won't be our last. The property manager Jaime was amazing. The location, porch, pool and space was perfect for us. It would be ideal for all ages. The layout of the home gave everyone privacy but also has an open family/dining room for gatherings. The short walk to the beach was great! We brought our own beach toys and supplies but was pleasantly surprised by the selection the home already had including extra beach chairs. We added to the collection leaving our turtle safe flashlights and a kite. My only recommendation would be to bring your own puzzles, boardgames and cards for a rainy day. Thanks again for the memories!

Just spent an amazing week with my husband, my daughter and son in law and two grandkids ages 2 and 5. Could not have asked for a better set up. Home was spotless and well appointed with everything we needed. Absolutely beautiful view of the gulf and easy walk to restaurants. Kids loved the beach in the mornings and the pool in the afternoons. Watched dolphins every day from the porch. Love this place and would definitely return!

Over all it was a good experience. We had some cleaning issues and 1 of 3 were handled by Jamie of Forgotten Shores. Also the house is in need of updating especially in the kitchen. The quartz counter tops were cracked and the paint was peeling off of the cabinets. We had a nice stay but I don't think the house has a great bang for your buck.

Everything about this house and property was perfect. It was clean upon arrival, we had a heated pool and the view of the gulf is simply stunning! Walking distance to restaurants and small grocery store. I would recommend this property to anyone.

This property was in the perfect location & the view could not be beat. We saw dolphins a couple of mornings from the front porch and enjoyed the amazing sunrises & sunsets from the beach. It was great for our family to be able to spread out in this large home. It was very clean when we arrived and is well stocked. We would definitely return.

This house was perfect for us to convene and celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. The great room surrounded by 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just ideal for anyone who need to slip away from the fun and fellowship to take a nap, read a book or make a phone call.

It's tough to beat the view from the front porch. We spent a great deal of time on the porch visiting and watching the beach lovers come and go.

Group of 9 college friends of almost 40 years have stayed here 2 years now. This house is great for having plenty of room to spread out. One room has 2 bunks, which would be great for kids and the bunk beds are very comfortable. 3 other rooms with king beds. The location is close to the entrance to the island, and the beach is steps away. We walked to the local restaurant which was maybe half a mile away.

We loved our stay at "Sol Mate". The stay was great, the trip to the beach was easy, the house had everything we needed, the pool was super, the parking was great, and the rental agent, Jamie, went over and beyond, to make this a great trip for our family. Our next trip to St George will be at "Sol Mate".

We stayed at Sol Mate in late August for our 20th Anniversary. We had a blast, the house is well stocked and there is plenty of room to spread out. Pool is great and the location is perfect across from the beach. We rented a golf cart, but this house is so close to everything that you don't really even need it. Would definitely stay again!

Sol Mate is the perfect location (other than being beachfront). The house was spotless. Jamie was wonderful to work with on a minor issue we had. There were 2 minors things others should be aware of. Make sure and bring your own dish towels. We had to use bathroom hand towels to dry the dishes. And there really isn’t a way to get clothes up from the laundry in the rain. There is no covered access. Other than that, it was perfect and I would love to stay there again.

Our group has rented more than a dozen house on SGI and this was, by far, our favorite! We loved it so much, we’ve already booked it for 2021! This house was amazingly clean! I have very high standards and this met them all! The living/kitchen/dining area was huge and had enough seats for everyone. The king bedrooms were spacious and airy and the bed linens were high quality. The location of the house is great! We loved the first row view of the ocean at a second row price. The yard was great for the kids and the beach was just a quick walk across the street. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and bakeware for a party as large as ours and there was plenty of storage for all of the food and drink we brought. We loved the coffee/beverage area—so nice to have that extra space to fix a drink while others were working in the kitchen. The downstairs storage room had everything we could have needed for the beach—corn hole, extra chairs, sand toys, floats. The pool was a good size and we appreciated both the sunny and shaded areas of the pool deck. Overall, this house is amazing! A great location with a fantastic price point. You won’t be disappointed stay here!

We rent Sol Mate every February, and as usual it was a wonderful stay. The updating of some of the furniture, the new paint in some rooms and all the extras in the kitchen were great. As usual, Jamie was super to work with and most accommodating. We will be back next year for I am sure will be another wonderful stay.

A group of 11 of us descended on Sol Mate the Monday before Thanksgiving for some well deserved R & R. We found a spacious, clean, and surprisingly well stocked house awaiting us with a fantastic view of the bay (across the street), an inviting pool, and proximity to stores and restaurants. It was perfect for the adults and the children (ages 6 mo, 4 yr, 7 yr, & 17 yr) with comfortable beds, lots of puzzles, & TVs in every room. It is likely that we will return in the future.

This was our third stay at Sole Mate and we have loved it each time! Jamie from the management company is so helpful. A quick response to any of our needs or questions. This property is just like being beach front. The empty lot across the street gives a perfect view of the water. Our group likes that we can walk to any of the shoppes and restaurants. Definitely a thumbs up!!
