I was initially a bit hesitant to book since our previous trips to St. George Island had always been beachfront, but this location exceeded our expectations. The beach path was incredibly convenient—even after full days on the sand, no one in our group minded the short walk.

The house was perfect for our group, which included two families with kids ranging from 13 to 18. The teens especially loved being right across from the bike path, which gave them easy access to the island center for pickup basketball games and, of course, ice cream stops on the way back.

The private pool was a big hit with everyone, and the kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals for a large group. I highly recommend renting through Forgotten Shores—their team was excellent from start to finish!

This is our second year staying in this house. This house is clean and well maintained. They stock it with essentials like dish detergent and laundry pods, in case you forget. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and it’s always clean. The beds are comfy, we all slept great !

We had an ant problem at the pool and we called the property manager. They responded swiftly and had a company out there to treat the area. I could not be happier with this management company. They even called later in the week to make sure the ants were no longer an issue.

The best place to eat on the island was the Beach Pitt. The best place to eat off the island was the Red pirate. We rented a golf cart and drove all over the island. It’s an easy walk to the beach, or you can drive your golf cart and park by the walkway. We liked to sit on the screened in porch at night and watch the sun go down.

It’s a great place to vacation!!

Latitude Change was perfect for our needs. Good price, right size, great location and clean facility.

This house is nice and close to the beach. It isn’t stocked very well in the kitchen. The oven didn’t really work very well. Numerous lights were out including the pool one, porch ones & some carport ones. Now I’m sure this could’ve been fixed while we were there but each day we figured out a different one was out.

We enjoyed our stay at Latitude Change. This was our first visit to St George, and we are already planning our next trip there. Although it was a bit chilly for a few days, we still enjoyed the beach, and the kids all played in the water. After vacationing at 30-A for years, we could not believe how quiet St George is - there was hardly anyone on the beach. It was lovely. We rode bikes daily and often ended up at Aunt Ebby’s for ice-cream. Having our own pool was definitely a highlight as the kids could swim anytime they wanted. We paid the extra fee to have it heated, which I’m so glad we did. We cooked most meals in, and although the kitchen is a bit outdated, it had everything we needed, including sharp knives and good cutting boards (thank you!). We did enjoy one dinner out at The Blue Parrot and enjoyed our seafood on the beach. The beds were all comfortable, and we slept great. Loved the screened-in porch as well. All in all, it was a great trip. No complaints!

It's not hyperbole to say that after decades as a travel writer, I was beyond gobsmacked by Forgotten Shores' Customer Service. From the time of my very first inquiry until checkout, Lindsey's professionalism and intrapersonal skills surpassed almost any other rental or travel agents with whom I've interacted. Thanks to her insights and excellence at what she does, we enjoyed an excellent stay in this property. It is spacious, clean, adequately stocked, decorated with TLC, and conducive to relaxation. It's just a short walk to the beach, and yet set back enough from the water to protect our "stuff" from salty spray. Though we weren't intrested in the pool, it was cared for regularly, and looked appealing for those who might wanna take a dip. Infinite thanks to Lindsey and all at Forgotten Shores. We can't wait to get back to the magic of SGI.

I brought my family to Saint George Island for Christmas and despite the chilly temperatures we had a fantastic time. The rental property provides everything you could possibly need for a sunny beach day or a chilly day indoors. This home was beautiful, comfortable, and a treasure. A very short distance from the beach with public access right across the street. This was the perfect Christmas. We communicated with the host several times prior to the trip and during and they were pleasant, helpful and so kind! In addition, there were small touches (like a Christmas tree set up) that we really appreciated. We enjoyed local restaurants like BJ's and the Beach Pit, spent time at the beach, created art at Art of Glass, shopped at the local souvenir shops and went over to the neighboring towns to shop their little downtown shops as well.

The house very comfortable the week that we stayed. You might want to add a few hooks to hang stuff in the bathrooms.The pots and pans were a challenge not terrific. We tried to clean the leaves out of the pool but the net was small and the pole didn't fit the net so it fell off the pole.

We went with 2 families for the Kids Fall Break.

The House was perfect for our situation. We enjoyed the house and the pool. Location to the Beach and Bay was great also. We will definitely consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Latitude Change. There were 6 of us and the house had the perfect amount of space. The pool was a spectacular bonus. We loved that it was a close walk to the beach and convenient to public beach access as well. The locals were fantastic & happy to teach us about the sea turtle nests. We read the reviews for the house prior to arriving so we came prepared with some of our own kitchen gadgets and bathroom towels. Our recommendations would be to replace the fridge, it could not keep up cooling all of the food we stocked in it. The flooring in the main area is also in need of repairs. We did send a private email to the rental company in regards to issues/suggestions we had but never received a reply. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation, we would use this rental again.

The house was exactly as described. An easy walk to the beach and the beach was not crowded. The gear credit was great and having beach chairs and bikes delivered to the house was an easy process. It was nice having a pool for the kids although with the 90 degree temps the pool was like a bathtub but it was used every day. It looked like one of the toilets was missed in cleaning but an easy fix and didn't take away from the vacation. Will definitely rent again here!

House is the perfect set-up for 2 families! Kitchen, dining area, living room and screened porch are all spacious. Pool is fabulous! Walk to the beach is easy, but I would suggest taking the sidewalk/road route vs. the path. We loved biking to the state park and also to get ice cream. Everything was clean and in good condition except the bed frame in the room opposite the bunk room. It felt a little unstable/wobbly, but the mattress was nice so it was fine. We would recommend the property! A big thank you to the property management for getting us in an hour early so the baby could nap. We really appreciated that. They were also very responsive on our last minute decision to heat the pool. Again, thank you!

Our family of ten loved staying at Lattitude Change. It had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing vacation. Plenty of sand and pool toys are available for the kids and the additional credit for beach gear is a nice touch. We are already planning our next stay.

We had a grandparent and 2 children in our party and all of us loved the house. The kids loved the bunk beds, Grandma loved the screened in porch, and we all adored the pool. We went early June and asked for the pool to be heated, which turned out to be a fantastic decision. We really appreciated the bikes and multitude of pool and sand toys in the storage area. There were only a couple of negatives: the screened in porch seemed to have been missed during cleaning, because when we arrived there were pieces of shrimp and potato chips all over the floor. Also, the lighter on the grill didn't work (we just used a lighter to manually light it). In addition, the sinks and tubs drained very very slowly - we assumed it had to do with sand etc. Despite these things, we'd stay there again. You can't beat the short distance to the beach and again, the pool!

This was my second year staying at Latitude Change. My parents rented this home last year and we had so much fun that my husband and I decided to rent it this year with some friends. This house was perfect for our two families to share. The home was very clean and well stocked with starter supplies. We really enjoyed the grill and the private pool and it's just a short walk to the beach. Some key items that we really appreciated were the use of the washer & dryer and the downstairs fridge (perfect for drinks and extra snacks - easy to access from the pool!) I am also really thankful for the beach gear credit that came with the house. Having the umbrellas and chairs delivered and available for us at checkin was perfect. Our friends came from out of state and it made it so much easier for them to travel without having to worry about packing up their own beach gear. We made lifelong memories here and hope to visit again soon!

We had a great time at Latitude Change. The house was perfect for our two family getaway. The layout was great and we loved the screened in porch! We did rent a golf cart to haul everything back and forth to the beach. The beach access at 11th street was like having our own private beach. Overall we had a great trip. The only thing I would suggest to make the house better - and this is digging deep - would be more add kitchen towels and wash rags and maybe upgrade the pillows. That is all!

I rented Latitude Change from Forgotten Shores Properties for a memorial trip for my late wife. The house was wonderful when we arrived. Exceptionally clean, well decorated and furnished. This nice property made such an emotional trip more bearable. Many thanks to the Owner and to Forgotten Shores Properties.

I spent 4 weeks at Latitude Change. It was a great stay. House is well-equipped, location is fantastic and quiet, the island is beautiful, and I would definitely stay here again.
Note to mgmt: would suggest two things. Upgrade the coffee maker, and produce a "how to" guide for proper use of the gas fireplace and gas grill.

Absolutely an incredible property to make your stay away from home feel like home. Well appointed, spacious, clean, and quiet in The Plantation part of St. George. It was nice to have multiple bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The oversized covered decks and screened porches made dining and gathering outside so comfortable. We've stayed at this property a few times at different times of the year. The private beach is never crowded no matter when we go. Enjoyed the pool just as much as the beach. Overall, it's our favorite vacation spot.

We’ve spent family vacations on Saint George Island Plantation since the early 1990s, first with our children and now with our adult children and grandchildren. For many years Jasmine Joy has been our family favorite that we return to annually. Jasmine Joy is a well maintained and beautiful home. It’s a great location on the Plantation with excellent proximity to the beach and the gate while offering more privacy than other Plantation homes. The private pool is a family favorite. On red flag days when gulf swimming is not an option, or other days when the surf is just too rough for our younger grandchildren, they never miss a day of swimming while enjoying Jasmine’s private pool. Two large screen porches allow us to always enjoy the outdoors. We highly recommend Jasmine Joy.

The house is recently remodeled, very spacious, clean and in good repair. The beach is a less than 5 minute walk. It is entirely surrounded by trees and foliage, making it very private. The only thing I thought could improve was, they only gave you one towel and one washcloth per guest. So you may want to bring extra. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location! Quiet and tranquil. Easy walk to the beach and great place to ride bikes on the path. Access to the pool, and workout area. Most everything you need is there. I'd recommend bringing plastic cups, or yeti's as everything in the home is glass. Also, you'll need spices, oil, etc. Not much left from previous renters. Decks are wonderful and so much seating. The beach rental items were so helpful and delivered and picked up was a bonus. Will look to stay here again if in the area.

The home Finally is so warm and welcoming

Our stay at “Finally” was amazing! Our family really enjoyed walking the nature trail to the beach everyday and riding our bikes around the neighborhood checking out all of the observation spots on the bay, not to mention the cut is absolutely beautiful at sunset and a must see. The house itself feels secluded, but only a short walk to the beach. We didn’t bring our dogs but noticed it would have been a great stay for them as well with the enclosed back porch. A great SGI stay!

My wife and I stayed at the Finally property in The Plantation for three weeks. We were amazed at the quality of the development known as The Plantation and quite pleased with the quality of the property we stayed at, its location within the development and within a 5 minute walk of the beachfront. We thoroughly enjoyed the getaway and immediately made reservations for 2025.
The Blue Parrot restaurant was the best place for us when dining out. The food was always delicious and the beachfront view was amazing.

Finally is a perfect house for our small family. Enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner at the house - such a well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for 2 or 3 to prep and cook. The entire space is well furnished and has everything you could want. The house is clean, beds comfortable - it is a gem!

The house is a short walk from the beach, which we enjoyed A LOT with our mini Golden Doodle.
We also rented bikes which we highly recommend to ride during sunsets inside the Plantation.

This is a great property for two (or four) guests. It was very clean, well equipped and everything worked. Beach access is good and the Plantation is a pretty area with access to the club house facilities. Also, I found the staff with Forgotten Shores to be friendly, well organized and intent that our stay was enjoyable

"Finally" was just a perfect house for our vacation on St George Island and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and is very private. The house is very close to the swimming pool and the beach and we loved the bicycle paths all through The Plantation. The Plantation is beautiful.

"Finally" is a very nice smaller (two-bedroom) home in the Plantation. We appreciated having everything on one level, and the split bedroom design and large living area made the home very comfortable. It is a nicely furnished home with a large, well-equipped kitchen. And it was clean and well-maintained. There's just a small view of the Gulf from the home, but it's a short walk to the beach and feels relatively secluded, set back on a short street, with trees around it. And we appreciated that we could have our small dog along with us. We would recommend this rental to others and also recommend Forgotten Shores Properties.

Two weeks in a cozy and colorful cottage. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds. The roof porch had better cell service and star gazing. Easy to be in, clean and well maintained house.

This was our first visit to St George Island and we absolutely loved it! The house was the perfect size for our family of 5 and the Sunday-Sunday rental was ideal with little traffic coming into or leaving the island.

The house is well-appointed with a convenient location to the beach and the pool (on nearby Magnolia Lane). A block and a half from the beach down a path or on the road so super convenient. Neither beach nor pool were ever crowded at all!

We loved being in the plantation for pool access and Bob Sike’s Cut for a beautiful sunset. My son hoped to fish but could not find anywhere on the island to rent a pole.

The only two downsides to the house were no garbage disposal on sink (which may be due to the plumbing situation on the island) and only a charcoal grill (not gas). Other than those two minor things, we loved Finally and hope to be back for another visit!

This property checked all the boxes. This was our first trip to SGI and everything we heard was true. We had some concerns with not having a private pool and not being familiar with the Beaches or the access to them however those concerns were quickly erased. The two community pools within the Plantation were very close to the rental and Massive. Most of the time we had them all to ourselves. The Beach is a short walk around the corner which was made even easier with the free beach equipment and wagon that were provided with the rental. Another great surprise was the ocean views from the porch and Crows Nest. We were able to see Dolphins from the porch or the beach almost everyday. The home overall was very comfortable with plenty of seating and more than enough space for our family of 4. We had no problems whatsoever with anything. If I had any recommendations at all it would be for the owner to add games to the home. We brought some card games of our own but we do enjoy board games and such on those rainy days or sunburned evenings and it’s fun to see what rentals have and play games that you never have or haven’t in a while.

"Finally" is exactly as pictured; very clean, updated property with new appliances and remodeled kitchen. This property was better stocked with supplies than any property we have stayed at on SGI. Lindsay and Jamie at Forgotten Shores were really helpful and easy to work with when we changed the dates of our stay twice. We would rent this or another property from Forgotten Shores again. This is the first property review I have ever written.

We have rented numerous times on SGI. Prefer to be in the Plantation, for the added trails and privacy. But it is just my husband and I , so finding a smaller property is often difficult. Finally was perfect for us! Updated, open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and wonderful 3/4 covered deck around the back. The property is very private , while very close to the beach. We could see and hear the ocean from the deck.
We are happy to find this property and hope to be able to book it again.

Jamie Polous was very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the use of the property and were fortunate to have good weather 8 of the 10 days. The location to the beach and walkway access was very convenient.

Everything looks just like the pictures and even better in real life! It being pet friendly made it even better and the enclosed balcony was perfect for letting my dogs run around off leash! Absolutely loved everything from the cleanliness to the artwork hanging on the walls!

First, Jamie is the best rental person in the world. She answered every question in a timely manner and went above and beyond to get tv working so we could see approaching storm. We killed lots of bugs--small roaches and spiders--throughout the house. Soothing colors, but the metal art everywhere looked cheap. Really too far from the beach to carry chairs, umbrellas, and such.

We loved everything except no path to the beach.

The house was just what we wanted. Clean, well kept and a nice size for us and our son's family. (two small grandchildren 2 and 4 yrs.) It is a pleasant short walk to the beach and a quiet tree lined setting. Jamie was great to work with, exceptional customer service, and we are booked for next year.

Overall it was a fun experience. The weather was perfect, the house lovely and the walk to the beach short. However the lock on the door to the deck did not work properly and I was locked out of the house. Combination locks would be better for the front door so you don't have to worry about keys and keys should open both front door and deck door. Management staff responded quickly to my problem.

Will definitely stay again!

This rental is even better than the pictures! We loved staying here while on Saint George Island and also highly recommend the Plantation. There is a lot of beautiful vegetation which makes the home more secluded. Every day we ate lunch out on the spacious porch and listened to the ocean waves. We rented bikes and found it to be one of our favorite things we did while on vacation. The bike trails in the Plantation are great and we also rode to the Island Center and visited the Lighthouse (also recommend) and ate at a couple of the restaurants. We would love to return!

We spent one fabulous week at Finally. It was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The house is not directly on the beach but it is just a short walk away. There are bike trails throughout the plantation that we enjoyed immensely. It is pet friendly and there is a great outdoor shower. The community pool is within biking and walking distance. The property manager was friendly and easy to get in touch with however we didn’t have any problems. We can’t wait to stay there again!!
