My Hideaway (Ocean Mile J4)

We are return renters to My Hideaway. We feel at home when visiting here. All amenities are in this unit so you can use the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the local cuisine. We love this little space!

A comfortable unit, with very good proximity to the beach. We would stay here again.

Another pleasant stay at the Hideaway. We’ve stayed there often and will do so again. Perfect location because it provides privacy if desired yet convenient access to the beach and State Park.

Accommodation was perfect for a getaway as it was fully stocked with everything we needed.,

Place was very clean/nice. Love the extra ice maker. Wish we had access to bikes.
Everyone in the office was super helpful especially Lyndsey.

Very clean and an excellent choice to stay, a couple of minor appliance issues but Forgotten Shores had them resolved quickly. Highly recommend the unit and Forgotten Shores management! We’ll be back!

It was a wonderful week on St George Island. The property management company tied for best among those we have used during our various vacation travels! The living room couch was not extremely comfortable, likely because it was a sleeper sofa, but the bed was very comfortable. We would stay in this rental again. Everything was clean and bright, and it was in a great location.

Beautiful accomodations! Perfectly appointed. Spotlessly clean. Worth every cent. I expressed several times how beautiful and enjoyable the place is. The description is completely accurate about everything the unit has and offers, and better in person than the photos. The condo provided the perfect amount of space for the two of us. Both decks provide oceanviews while sipping coffee, stargazing, or enjoying a meal. We had everything we needed to prepare/cook our meals every day. We especially enjoyed the patio grill area. Unit is a pleasant quick stroll to the beach. The seclusion of being one of the last property on the island and right next to the State Park made for a quiet, relaxing trip. The complex is quiet and people were friendly. The night sky was absolutely breathtaking, more stars than I've ever seen!! I only want to stay here when we return to St. George Island.

Once again. We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Perfect weather,warm water and the beach was nearly empty right after Labor Day. Looking forward to next time!

This property really raised my expectations for future vacations. It was clean and well-maintained. There were so many amenities. Since we flew in, I was so worried that we would have to purchase a ton of things and have to trash them when we left. I was completely wrong! Bug spray, kayak, chairs, umbrellas, towels, kayak, flashlights, they had it all! The absolute only thing I felt I "needed" that wasn't there was hangers.
I had great communication with the property manager as well. She was so polite, professional and accommodating!
Our favorite restaurant was BJ's Pizza. Second best was Beach Pit.
We climbed the lighthouse, that was a work out!! But it was fun and the view from the top is breath taking, lol, if you have any breath left from the climb that it!
Griffith Guide Service took us out to see the dolphins, and let me tell you... Captain Coble Griffith gave us the experience of a lifetime! He knew just where to go. I thought the dolphins were literally going to jump in the boat with us! It was so much fun!
Since returning back home in Missouri, I've done nothing but rave about our stay at Ocean Mile and our vacation on St. George Island.

The condo was wonderful. Packed with items for us to use during our stay, clean and very spacious for a 1 bedroom. A great community pool. My only comment would be to ensure there is cabinets space for the guests- there was a lot packed into the kitchen leaving small area for groceries:)

Otherwise 10 out of 10!!!

We so enjoyed our stay at this property, we will stay again soon!! The home was very clean and had everything we needed. So relaxing and peaceful. Even had time to work the puzzle. We are so in love with the island.

We really enjoyed this condo. It was the perfect size and location for the two of us. Bed was comfortable and kitchen well stocked with all we needed. Easy walk to the beach and short drive to restaurants.

The rental was absolutely perfect! Plenty of supplies throughout the rental for the 4 days we stayed. I will definitely be back!!

The condo was very clean, the bed was so comfortable and the pillows were soft, I slept like a baby every night. The kitchen has every appliance and gadget that you would need. It was a short walk to the pool and beach. I would definitely recommend this place.

My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Mile J4. The room was clean and we really enjoyed the beach toys and umbrella that was supplied. The beach was also very nice and quiet! We will definitely look into renting again when we return to SGI!

We had a wonderful time at this property! Everything was very clean and comfortable, and Forgotten Shores Properties were extremely polite, attentive, and easy to work with leading up to our stay. The location was great!

We had a wonderful time exploring the beaches and spending time with our son. We took a break from the Montana winter and could not have picked a better place. We were steps to the beach and two beautiful decks that faced the ocean.

We were extremely pleased with the location. It was close to the town without being too close and a super short walk to the beach. Bed was comfortable and there is plenty of beach equipment & extra towels. Would recommend to anyone seeking a break from the world!

Our stay at J4 was wonderful! The condo had everything we needed. I have been going to St. George's Island and staying at 300 Ocean mile my entire childhood, but always stayed in condo's through other companies. Our experience through forgotten shores was very smooth, and I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed. They have all the bear gear, toys, umbrellas etc. They have extra beach towels, games, books, and more in the condo. All kitchen appliances you could need. Plenty of space and very clean upon arrival. We will definitely stay here everytime we come back from here on out if it is just my husband and I.

My husband and I have stayed in My Hideaway several times, and it has provided a great location on St. George Island. We love sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. This townhouse is perfect for a couple or small family. Property management communicates well and is easy to work with.

This was our first time at St. George Island and we loved it. If you want to getaway and just relax than this is the place for you.

The only slight complaint that we had was that we would've liked a lock from the outside on the back sliding door.

Other than that it was absolutely perfect!

This rental was exactly as described. It was very clean and quiet. We had a small issue with the air and a repair man was sent out immediately to fix it. We will definitely return next summer.

The property was exactly as described in the listing. Jamie at the rental management company was fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay and this nice condo.

This was the first time using VRBO was a little hesitant but the condo was everything they described.
It was also our first time to St George Island and we loved it

We enjoyed our too-short stay at 300 Ocean Mile. Our unit, J-4, had everything we needed. We loved being so close to the beach and the state park, but "town" is really just down the road.
A glitch getting in - sticky keys on the keypad - was soon remedied by Jamie so no problem. Overall, we would happily stay here again

Even when other units next door are occupied, the soundproofing for the most part is effective. Management is readily available if ever needed.

Hubby and I enjoyed a recent 5 night stay in this condo. We found it to be clean, well appointed and just the right amount of space for us. If you are older just know that there is a flight of stairs to the front door and inside the condo a half flight between sleeping area and living. Not an issue for us - yet! The complex was clean and well kept. We loved seeing everyone's dogs - one of the special things about STG is that it is a dog friendly beach! Had a great time and would return to this condo in a heartbeat!

It was exactly as pictured. Clean and tidy. Also the beach stuff in the closet was a nice added touch. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 2 adults and 1 son. We had 0 problems during our stay and we will definitely be coming back. Everytime we contacted Jamie, she always was courteous, professional and always responded in a very timely manor. And it was literally just a 45 second walk to the beach. The lack of crowds like at other beaches really sets the place above the rest.

The condo and complex were exactly like the photos and descriptions. Nice, clean and quiet with a great beach for walking and fishing. Accidentally locked myself out of the condo at 10:00 on a Saturday night. I didn't expect anyone to answer my call at the Forgotten Shores Mgmt phone number. However Jamie answered and got there in less than a half hour to get me back in. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I have stayed at My Hideaway several times and find that it is perfect for us. The townhouse is clean and well maintained. Since our last stay they have bought a new mattress and coffee maker. We particularly enjoy sitting on the deck to savor our morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The beach was beautiful as always. We love all the local seafood and this year we attended the SGI Brewfest to benefit the local humane society. What a great afternoon!!

Jamie is an excellent property manager - always helpful and friendly. Hope we can stay at My Hideaway again.

Loved this place. Well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Just a few steps away from the beach. Great for kids.

We needed warmth and sun. No snow, no ice, no freezing rain. We enjoyed our 5 days very much.

We had the best time just soaking in the island atmosphere. People were so kind and friendly. Food was great. The home is so well supplied that it is like being at home away from home!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway. A short walk to the beach, a completely equipped condo, spectacular beach.
