Buddha Beach

Great house close to the beach. It had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool and the close proximity to the beach.

We had a nice stay at Buddha Beach after minor issues were resolved. Upon arrival the home was not cooling and the top floor did not have power. The property management company quickly responded but it did not change the fact that it was HOT in JULY. The home was nicely furnished and the pool was wonderful. We did have to ask for the pool light to be repaired during our stay. The home is a decent walk to the beach.

This is our second year staying at Buddha Beach! We love staying here for our annual beach trip! The house is fabulous and we just love the pool and deck areas! Super clean and has everything you need! Just remember to bring extra paper towels and toilet paper.

My family and I loved this property! Large rooms with comfortable beds, lots of items provided for your stay. I would suggest bringing your own bath towels, only 2 per room, but everything else was great! Having the pool was definitely a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Buddha. Even with the rain it was a great place for family fun and close to everything you need. The beds, kitchen, pool, were most enjoyable.

We had the best week staying at Buddha Beach! The location was perfect, only a short walk to the Beach access ramp. The pool and lower deck area was fabulous, we enjoyed grilling and hanging out here at night. Don’t worry about bringing a beach chair, they had 10 plus chairs to choose from. They also had lots of Beach toys, games and umbrellas to use during your stay. Everything you need for a beach vacation, they had! The only thing I would recommend is to bring extra paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent. They supplied a little bit of each but depending on your group you may need to bring extra. Overall, we had a wonderful trip! We can’t wait to come back and visit again next year.

Buddha Beach was perfect for our family! The house was beautifully furnished and clean upon our arrival. We enjoyed the furnished bikes and the ping pong table was a hit. We also LOVED the pool and spent most of our afternoons in it. Can't recommend this house enough!

Great Beach House with everything you might need.

Buddha Beach was a great house, exactly as listed. Clean, all the amenties we needed and location was great. Jaime and John were wonderful and a great resource.

We loved this rental. We were a group of 4 couples. This house has everything you need for a great getaway. It rained virtually nonstop for our week, and this house and it’s amenities helped rescue a beachless beach vacation. All the kitchen tools you can imagine, games for the group, super comfy beds and furniture, wonderful outdoor areas both under roof and on the deck made for a wonderful trip. I recommend a rainy day on the back porch with a good book any day. We loved the ocean and bay views we had from this home as well.We enjoyed the bicycles and would have really loved the beach gear (and left a few more things to add to your gear.) this house has all the upgrades and feels
like home- not a rental. The fruit trees around the pool just added to our total delight of this home. We will be back- rain or shine!

We had a wonderful weekend. We come every year for Labor Day fun. And it’s my birthday Not satisfied with some of the appliances and we had to go buy toiletries Not enough towels in bathrooms ,no Ice because ice maker was frozen and wouldn’t work. Gas grill was filthy and had to be cleaned before we could use it . I explained all of the problems with a text to Jamie. We may look for another house next year

My family has been coming to SGI since the early 80s. 6 adults, 4 kids under 6, and 2 french bulldogs. Everyone in our family agreed that this was the nicest, cleanest, and most accommodating house we have ever stayed in on the island. The house is very well thought out in every aspect.

We had a wonderful week. The property was perfect and we will be booking this location again!

Rental process was seamless, the house was beautiful. Had a well stocked kitchen but the stove had a burner out and the other burners didn't seem to want to work either. Washer kept repeating cycles which in turn took all the hot water meaning cold showers for everyone. And we could never seem to figure out the HVAC so we froze upstairs and were too warm downstairs. And I understand the need for tile, but would suggest something more slip resistant when you have a pool. My poor brother spanked himself for his bday on the wet tile floor. A new stove top, washer and dryer would go a long way. Other than that it was a great house with great features.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy time off from the everyday grind. The house is well equipped, very spacious, and the rental company is very responsive. We had an amazing time and would go back again!

We have stayed @ Buddha Beach going back to 2017. We love the location. We just enjoyed the nature of eagles, butterflies & lots of dragonflies. Jamie is great to work with & the owner takes great care of the house. See you in October of 2021!

This was our second year in a row staying at this property. It works extremely well for our extended family and everyone votes to go back to the same place next year!

This house is absolutely fantastic. It literally has everything you need from beach towels, bikes, to a very well stocked kitchen! The walk to the beach is not bad, we brought a golf cart so it was easy running back and forth. My only complaint would be the refrigerator, it took 24 hrs to get cold again and some of our food spoiled. The beds are comfortable, pool is great, overall it’s a really practical house. The property manager is also very attentive!

It was a wonderful experience. We’ve stayed there for two years. Very nice accommodations, very clean. Love the pool.

Buddha Beach was a luxurious get-away, just a couple of blocks from the beach and in a quiet part of the Island. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and welcoming; the kitchen is full stocked. On cloudy days, we enjoyed the pool. The management company was very attentive esp as the storm approached. No damage from the storm as far as we could tell. Would love to return.

This was our (5) stay @ Buddha Beach and Jamie and John are "wonderful" to work with. We love the location and the house has everything you will need. We cannot wait to come back and stay.

We enjoyed this place so much. It was close to the beach and we lived having the pool right there. The house was spacious and very clean!

We have a lot of experience with vacation rentals, and this was definitely one of the best. We had two young families and the set-up with two masters, a big room for the older kids, and a smaller room for the youngest in the pack and play was perfect. This is the most well equipped home we've stayed in from the bikes to endless beach gear to beach towels to emergency supplies. The ONLY nit picks I have on the house are that if you want to sleep in, that will not happen because there are no black-out shades so the rooms get pretty bright as soon as the sun comes up and the dryer takes a couple cycles to dry. Even saying that, we would absolutely stay here again. Comfortable beds, everything you need, nice furniture out by the pool, and a short walk or golf cart ride (ideal w/ smaller kids and all your essential beach junque) to the beach access.

Buddha Beach house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy family. House was clean and well kept. Kitchen was fully stocked. The pool was a great place to relax and take a break from the ocean. St. George Island is laid back and family friendly. No big hotels or crowded beaches. Perfect place for R &R.

It was absolutely perfect in every way! Immaculate, fully stocked, welcoming, just beautiful and a 4 min walk to beach with beach gear in tow!

This is a lovely house which is perfect for two families as there are two masters. (Master up w another BR w ensuite bath; master down w another BR w two queens and a twin [I think]). Plenty of covered deck space and uncovered deck w ocean view on top level. This house also features a bay view from the front. Well appointed house, very comfortable and the owner actually includes BIKES for you to use. There's also a gas grill which I think you can use and a bar at the pool. Would rent this house again.

Also, the property manager Jamie is awesome. We have rented from her before and will rent from her again as she handles everything and is conscientious and super helpful. Example: there was a storm and the internet went out and we had some work we had to do, so she brought us a hotspot until the internet came back on. Trust me -- most rental agencies are just trying to make you go away and don't really care about problems, but Jamie does and she is fantastic!

The house we chose for our reunion, Buddha Beach was more beautiful in person than in the photos! And in the photos it was stunning, to say the least. What we enjoyed the most was everything! The sunny decks, the inviting pool, the proximity to the beach and bay and shopping. There was plenty of space to stretch out and relax in the house. Everyone found their beds and bath comfy and well appointed as was the kitchen, washer, dryer and availability of beach towels, chairs etc. We all enjoy cooking and gathering around the large table for meals. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty for us to move around without bumping into each other. Any questions we had for the Jamie were quickly addressed. I highly recommend Forgotten Shores and would go back to Buddha Beach in a heart beat!!!

Well appointed vacation house with everything you could possibly need! Charming decor, spacious rooms, great views and the heated pool is just a bonus. Jamie was very responsive to remedy the very few issues that we had. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My family came from Ohio to celebrate my daughter's graduation and we all loved Buddha Beach and would highly recommend it. It was not right on the beach but close enough to walk. Jamie Polous at Forgotten Shores was very professional helping us find what we were looking for.
