Welcome to 'The Jewel Box'!
This remodeled 'gem' of a cottage is located on the Apalachicola Bay with a furnished, screened-in porch looking toward the sunset. The open living area is cozy and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating (sorry, fireplace not available). The well-equipped kitchen includes a food pantry cabinet, gas stove, Keurig and standard drip coffee maker. Both King bedrooms are located at the end of the hall, separated by the laundry closet with full size washer/dryer.
The dock offers a convenient fish cleaning sink and shaded bench area, with easy kayak launching. The private boat launch is gated, making boat parking safe and secure. Covered car parking available.

The Jewel Box was perfect for my husband and me. We've stayed on the bay side several times and this was the best location and house for us. Very comfortable sofa, chairs, and bed. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable porch chairs. The dock stayed shaded until mid afternoon. Nice breeze on the dock. Good fishing and awesome sunsets! Only thing we would change would be to add blinds so the afternoon sun isn't so blinding.

This home was so nice and clean. The screened in porch and dock were our favorite spots to hang out. The kitchen is very well stocked. We did have trouble with the trash. The bin was full and it didn’t get picked up all week. We called and they had to bring us another trash bin. We also were not able to use the downstairs shower. They came out right away when we tried to use it and it wouldn’t drain but were not able to fix it. They were very responsive to our concerns but the downstairs shower was a bigger issue than they were able to fix right away. We did really enjoy our stay and once everything is worked out with the house we would love to stay here again. The location of this house was perfect. We even saw a dolphin right off of the deck and a turtle in the back yard.

This house is wonderful! Beautiful inside and out and the location is great! Loved the Bay with the dock. The Granddaughter fed the pelicans shrimp and loved the Lizards running around. Forgotten Shores is are ho to for all of our house rentals on the island and at East point.

Very peaceful with awesome sunsets. Short walk to beach for daily sunrises. Loved fishing off dock. Beautiful home!! .
The house was nice as well as the location, but I would not recommend it if you need two bathrooms. The ground level bathroom is not usable when it rains heavily and we were notified the issue was not fixable. I noticed another reviewer had the same issue prior to our stay. We were given a refund of around $145.00, but were still disappointed as we need at least two bathrooms for our family.
